  • How to slow down escalation
  • What rules must exist for safe, productive conversations

Outcome: Arguments become structured, safer, and more productive.

You will practice:

  • Effective apologies
  • Rebuilding emotional safety
  • Repair attempts that actually work

Outcome: You stop carrying unresolved resentment into every conversation.

This did more for us in 4 hours than months of therapy.

We finally understood what was actually happening in our fights.

The structure changed everything—we don’t spiral anymore.

We left with tools we actually use, not just insights.

Meet Your Facilitator

Your Couples Intensive is facilitated by Dr. Carlos Todd, PhD, LCMHC, a licensed clinical mental health counselor, conflict specialist, and founder of Mastering Conflict. With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Todd has helped couples understand the patterns beneath their conflict, communicate more effectively, rebuild emotional connection, and develop practical strategies for moving their relationship forward. His approach is active, structured, and skills-based. Rather than simply talking about what has gone wrong, your intensive is designed to help you understand why you keep getting stuck—and what to do differently. Come prepared to do meaningful work, have important conversations, and leave with practical tools you can continue using long after the intensive ends.
